Tarot Readings
Astrology and tarot can both offer opportunities for reflection, but they work differently. Astrology uses your birth chart and planetary placements to explore broader patterns, traits, and themes. Tarot uses cards to explore a particular question, situation, or moment. If you're interested in understanding your personal patterns more deeply, a natal chart reading may be a better starting point. If you're looking for perspective on something happening right now, tarot may be a good fit.
A natal chart reading explores the position of the planets at the time you were born and how those placements interact with one another. At Stellara, your chart is read as a whole- not as a collection of isolated zodiac signs- to explore patterns, strengths, challenges, relationships, motivations, and other themes that may show up in your life.
Astrology can offer insight into patterns, tendencies, strengths, challenges, relationships, communication styles, motivations, and areas of growth. Stellara does not treat your birth chart as a fixed prediction of who you are or what will happen. Think of it as a map: it can help you better understand the terrain, but you still decide where you go.
For the most complete natal chart, you'll need your date of birth, exact birth time, and birth location. Your birth time is especially important for calculating your Rising sign and astrological houses.
Yes, although some parts of your chart may not be available or reliable without an accurate birth time. Stellara can still explore the placements that can be calculated confidently and will clearly explain any limitations.
Your Sun, Moon, and Rising are three of the most commonly discussed placements in a birth chart. Your Sun is associated with identity and sense of self, your Moon with emotional needs and instincts, and your Rising sign with how you approach and experience the world. They're an excellent starting point, but they're only three pieces of a much larger chart.
If you've ever thought, “I'm a ___, but that doesn't sound like me,” you're not alone. Your Sun sign is only one placement in your natal chart. Your Moon, Rising sign, planets, houses, aspects, and the relationships between them can add nuance, or even seem to contradict one another. A full birth chart reading looks at how those pieces work together rather than reducing you to one zodiac sign.
